Characters based off of friends

These are some background characters for my animation I'm working on in my animation 3 class. I decided to look at all my friends for reference. I think I have a really unique style of friends. They all have their own styles. Its cool. I have more characters that I will post soon. Anyways until next time.....

I drew this picture for a friend who is really into the hip hop culture. I thought what better to draw than two of the greatest rappers of all time! Tupac Shakur and Christopher "Biggie Smalls" Wallace. RIP Tupac and Biggie

The Great Lindsay Poggio

I have not been on my blog since two days before my best friend Lindsay's passing. I was sharing with everyone her amazing coloring skills she had done on my drawing. Lindsay was an amazing artist and most of all, an amazing person. She was so talented and very sweet. She could lighten up a room all by herself. I could write a novel describing all of her great qualities. This school year I had a legendary graffiti artist (Graff One of the Shake City Rockers) do some artwork on my backpack in memory of Lindsay. My backpack says my motto while Im trying my hardest to graduate. "All For Lindsay." I love you Lindsay and miss you very much!!!!

Its all FTK...For The Kids

Whats up to everyone out there in cyber world! Here is another drawing I did at work, its for a little 3rd grader who loves Iron Man!! I thought it turned out well for having no reference at all. I also posted up an old drawing I drew in the begginning of summer of Somaya Reece and myself. My good ol' pal Lindsay got down with her coloring skills by really bringing it to life. This picture will now be used on Somaya's website launching soon, missreece.com. Lindsay does not only color amazing but can draw well too! Check out her blog under my artists section. The Dark Knight and Music Video

Hey whats been up to whoever is reading this. I haven't posted anything in awhile due to chaos with work and dance business. But I have been drawing...a lot! I have a lot of work done and Im picking out drawings I want for my portfolio. Anyways heres a pic of Batman I drew for one of my students a work. Game of Death Miguel

Whats up!!!! I have been happy lately with a lot of free time on my hands to draw. I want to start working on my own comic book but in the mean time I drew this pic of a character resembling somewhat myself in the style of Bruce Lee from the movie Game of Death. But I put my own style to it with the hat and ofcourse adidas shell toes. I also threw in there the number one headband I got from defeating Afro Samurai. ahahahaha Yeah definitly have too much time on my hands.......

IRON MAN VS SPIDEY

So Ive been drawing like crazy since school has ended. I have seen the Iron Man movie twice since its been out, I really enjoyed it!!! This was the first drawing Ive done out of this batch Im posting, it took me about 3 days at work to pencil then ink it. Im almost done with the inks and I also want to color it on photoshop! Enjoy!!!! Get em Spidey....sorry Tony Stark fans......

Whats up! I work at L.A.'s Best After School Program and started sketching this funny little picture of some of my staff memebers and myself. Thought it turned out kinda funny! Check it out!

Character Rotation

This is the character rotation for my nerd character Im doing for my project right now in animation 3. He turns into a break dancin' wolfman! Speaking of dancing, be on the lookout. Next week Somaya Reece's music video for the song, "Ooh Baby Baby" will be released and Im dancing all over it!!! Ill keep you posted.

Starting at Point Guard......James Howlett aka Wolverine

Whats up Everyone! I started this blog last year and really havent used it. Thanks to my buddy Gerald Ive decided to start updating it with my work. Ive just been busy in the dance game doing commercials, music videos, and independant films. Anywho, I was playing Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and got an idea. I thought it would be cool to draw my own basketball starting five lineup using my favorite Marvel universe characters. This is the first I have drawn. Its my starting point guard. Wolverine! Notice the old school Converse Chuck Taylor kicks in spirit of his old age. Ill be back soon with another player on my team......Go get em' Wolvie!
