Sugar Plum Fairy for Nutcracker

Hello Everyone!!
I have been busy teaching dance and doing art! This Christmas I got the cool opportunity to design a sweatshirt for one of the dance studios I work at. All About Dance Studio in Madera, CA is putting on a cool show called, "The Nutcracker, All Jazzed Up." It is the story of the Nutcracker but with all dance styles. My hip hop classes get to get down in it also! This Sugar Plum Fairy character design will be featured on the sweatshirt for this years show.

Munny Munny Munny....MUNNY

Here are some of the latest Munnys I have done for friends. I did the bride and groom for my friends wedding. They were used as their cake topper. Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Zephaniah House. The other Munny was done for my friend Joey, he wanted his head with the superman suit on. Anyways, I have been away from my blog for awhile but will post more drawings shorty. Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving.

True Colors to Mantis Drawing

Photobucket

Praying Mantis Shaolin Kung Fu

I created this drawing awhile back and had a character based off of myself in mind. He is wearing clothes similar to what Im usually teaching dance in. I thought it would be cool to have him in a kung fu stance ready to fight, so I chose my favorite Shaolin Kung Fu style, Praying Mantis! Thank you to Keith Brandon who colored it on photoshop for me! Also these are not the original colors that go with the drawing, Ive been trying to upload different versions and it keeps coming out in these colors.

MOCA quest

Today I took a trip by myself to downtown LA. I had a lot of fun walking the streets downtown and going to MOCA. It is a Contemporary Art Museum located in downtown Los Angeles. I had to go to write a paper for my art history class and I must say that I really enjoyed the whole trip! I was able to take a couple pics for my blog and even found someone kind enough to take a pic of me while I was in the museum. Until next time.....

Lord of Dogtown

I drew this pic last summer of Tony Alva in the 70s. I was watching the movie, "Lords of Dogtown," and got inspired to draw some characters. I really enjoy that flick! Anyways I recently bought a wacom pen tablet for my computer so I wanted to get some practice in. I decided to color this picture I had drawn of Tony Alva! More art to come soon, countdown to graduation!!!!!
